Every day at the Institute has new posibilities     Meet some of our new friends.     This is Samuel.  He is amazing! You may remember our mentioning his name before. He is the friend who took a picture of us alongside a picture of the Savior when we taught our first Institute class a few weeks ago. He speaks amazing English and was one of Hermana Ellis's first friends to help her communicate with the other Young Adults. He will forever be our friend. They want to learn, and so their companion does a great thing by helping them practice English for two years.  This is Ruby (front left) she is the Young Adult Leader for all of the Institutes in the Santiago Mission. That is such a huge responsibility, but she is killing it! Her sister, Perla (holding the tray) Ismael (front right- can speak a lot of E...

Hola Maravillosos Amigos 💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟 We decided to go closer to the beach  as we watch  General Conference. We went to  a  beach town called Sosua, not far from Peurto Plata.  We were able to go to the beach and meet many new friends while there. The people have a sweet love for Jesus Christ. They saw our tag and would come up to us, which made speaking with them so natural and fun. They are kind and friendly, truly our brothers and sisters.  One of our new friends, Dalvis, is a local. He approached us and began to talk with us. He said he was baptized as a child into the church, but seldom attended. He said his parents and grandparents all still go to church. We told him that General Conference was this weekend and invited him to watch it with his family. He seemed interested. We plan to visit him again soon.  We love that Heavenly Father is aware of all of His children. He knows where Dalvis is, in a ti...

Great people and memories we will cherish forever. 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟 😊 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟 Teaching our first class at the Institute Wednesday when the regularly scheduled instructor who teaches the Eternal Families class was not able to come, we were given the opportunity to teach. That was a wonderful surprise for us.  One of the students took this picture unbeknownst to us and shared it with us at the end of class. SO grateful he captured a sweet memory for us with C hrist by our side. The YSA students in the DR are absolutely WONDERFUL and personal!! Thank You Samuel!! 🐟🐟🐟 On Friday we went to a YSA Regionl Conference where nearly five hundred attended. It was at a large property that the church purchased many ...
